Forum for free planning advice

Many clients have general planning questions in which they seek answers to small questions which have a big impact on their event. Many times it is experience which is the best teacher.

This is a forum in which free planning advice from our experiences is provided. This experience works for most events, though it never a guarantee. This is a general advice column. You are free to use the advice or disregard it.

  1. Hi, I want to do a 30th birthday party in october. I want to do a costume party (one week before halloween), have a dj, and alcohol, all in a tight budget. I have looked into a couple of restaurants, but it's definately not the affordable way of doing it. Do you know of any places I can rent for the night and be free to rock out until late at night? Any suggestions?
    Thanks

  2. For a two- to three-day event, look for facilities close to the airport or office, ideally no more than two hours away. No attendee appreciates spending much of the first day traveling, possibly arriving tired or hassled, and then anticipating the same return trip on the last day of the meeting.
